Ford has introduced its fastest Mustang yet and gave it the “Boss 302” badge, the legendary name it has not used since 1969. In the photographic world, it’s like Olympus bringing to life its classic Pen camera for its E-P1 M4/3 camera series.
The Boss 302 is based on the the 2011 Mustang GT, but nearly everything about the GT is upgraded for the Boss including the engine output, brakes, suspension, interior and exterior, with Ford aptly calling it “a race car with number plate.”
Ford says the new Boss set to become the quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by the company. It is set for release in spring in the United States.
For mustang lovers in many parts of the world, no worries, it won’t be available in local showrooms so you’d be spared of the agony of love at first sight. There’s no stopping you from importing the car though.
