Some Blog Entries Are Prime Blog Entries

… in the same manner some estates are prime real estates, for want of a better comparison.

My old Blogspot blog, In-Between Points, my first real blog which I started in October 2004 but is now dormant since May this year, is still attracting traffic and without fail, generating at least a couple of dollar of Adsense revenue every month.

That is of course, too little to mention but I’ve never been successful with Adsense. At the rate things are going, I think I’m going to need several more month before I can reach the level where I can claim my first payment from Google.

Anyway, last month, the dormant blog experienced a spike in the number of visitors, registering a record number of traffic — all coming from search engines — without me doing anything. When I checked the source of the spike, it pointed to a single blog entry I’ve written about the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.

Hundreds of visitors had come to that entry alone, everyday for one week ahead of the Singapore race.

Sadly, I failed to capitalise on the traffic. I should have at least experimented with the blog entry and inserted pay-per-click links to see what the conversion rate would be like.

MY POINT IS, some blog entries are prime blog entries which attract more traffic from search engines than other entries…
