I do like surprises, especially if they are pleasant ones — like having sold an advertising space in one of my blogs without me knowing that someone had bought a spot there and had posted a payment for it.
If you have been following this blog for quite sometime, you would know about how I managed to sell text links from TLA on a regular basis across several of my blogs.
With TLA, all you need is to register your blogs with the company and make sure they are updated on a regular basis. If you blog regularly enough, have acceptable level of traffic, and if you know one or two keyword strategies to bait text link ads, you would be able to sell text ads on a regular basis.
The guys at TLA would normally email if someone bought a link but sometimes they don’t; and you won’t know about the transaction until you log on into your account and be pleasantly surprised to see your monthly earning had increased by several dollars.
Which brings me back to the title of this entry — a pleasant surprise. That’s exactly what happened today in my blogging life.
