I’ve downloaded and installed Chrome, the new Internet browser from Google. What I can say is this:

1. It’s superfast, about 10 per cent faster than Firefox.

2. Each tab is a “stand alone” tab. So if one of the page crashes, it won’t bring the whole browser with it. The crash will be limited to just that particular tab and you can close it down and continue browsing the Net.

3. Have you ever accidentally closed a tab and wish that you didn’t? I do and what an annoying experience that is, especially if you can’t remember the URL and your drop down address bar is already full with dozens of URLs, making it difficult to find the exact page which you have exited. You don’t face this problem in Chrome because there’s a list of “a recently closed tabs”. You just click on them and your closed tabs will reappear.

4. It minimalist. You only have the address bar and two menu buttons. Gone are the many little things that crowded the menu bar in Firefox or IE.

5. Chrome also displays the recent website you have accessed, complete with screenshot of the page.

6. I guess, that’s it for the moment.
