The offer was so tempting — over a hundred ebooks on virtually everything about make money online available for download for only US$77 — that I didn’t even pause to think whether it was worth taking.

US freakin 77 dollar. That worked out to be around RM240, which is not a small amount.

But since the money I had for the purpose was not in hard cash — they are stashed away in a PayPal account — I didn’t really feel the pinch. So I went on and did the transaction online and downloaded the ebooks, all 248MB of them, which took nearly two hours to download.

It may take me weeks to finish reading the document but from what I can speed-read so far, I must say I don’t feel ecstatic about the purchase in that there was not much from the ebooks that I couldn’t get for free from the Internet.

Some of them are also outdated, written way back in 2004 or 2005, rendering almost half of the content irrelevant. I was expecting much more from the purchase.

Looking back, I could have use the fund to purchase two or three nice-sounding domain names for the project I had in mind.
