Wordpress 2.5: Problem With Categories, Hyperlinks

Having installed Wordpress 2.5 like a breeze last night, I discovered to my dismay this morning, two bugs which like it or not, would kill the enthusiasm over the new blogging platform if it is not fixed soonest.

The first, is the problems with the categories in certain themes. Clicking on them on would bring you to some error page. The second, is the problem with hyperlinks. You can’t insert a link when in “Visual” editing mode. You’ll need to switch to “HTML” to do that.

I guess, problem number one can be solved with selecting new themes, while problem number two can be fixed by releasing a Wordpress 2.5.1. ;)

Luckily I did not install it yet. Waiting for a stable version to come out. :P

I did not experience these problems as reported by you.

Anyway, did you try to upload any images?

Jayce: it looks like it’s okay now. The new Press is faster and feature packed.

Deimos Tel Arin: No more problem now. I’ve tried uploading images and its been a pleasant experience.

… btw, I’ve written a new blog entry about uploading images in Wordpress.
