Three damn years, Firefox. I’ve loved you for three damn years. I’ve been loyal to you even after IE rejuvenated itself with IE7. But you’ve become unreliable lately so much so that I keep on turning to IE to do what you’ve refused to do.
Today, like a jilted lover, I browsed the net for the last time on Firefox, and downloaded Flock, installed it on my laptop and embraced the new browser with the same passion I’ve had the first time switched from IE to Firefox three years ago.
I don’t know about your Firefox but mine has been acting up since the past three months. So here are my five reasons why I dumped Firefox:
1. It has been giving me “Problem loading page…” every now and then, and almost everyday since the past few weeks. But the very same page loads perfectly fine on IE.
2. I couldn’t log into my Gmail on many occasions using Firefox browser. At times, I couldn’t event load the Gmail’s homepage, forcing me to launch IE and access my mail from IE instead.
3. I couldn’t log into my Adsense account on many occasions using Firefox browser. At times I couldn’t even load www.google.com/adsense on Firefox, forcing me to launch IE and access Adsense from there instead.
4. Tab browsing not user-friendly. Although you can double click on the tab bar to load a new tab but after five or six tabs, there’s no more space to double click for additional tabs.
5. All of the above.
So, I’m now using Flock which is surprisingly fast, as fast as Firefox. I could’ve return to IE but no; I’ve got to move on and see what this new browser could offer.
