It’s not true that American Idol is popular in the US.
Let me quickly clarify myself. It’s not true that American Idol is popular only in the US. It’s true that it’s popular even in the land of the united and disunited world, whose populace are becoming citizens of satelite TV.
As I sit here in my couch, watching the encore of the lady’s night performance, I can attest to the fact that the American franchise is ever converting fans around the world, that more and more are embracing the TV reality show as though it was their own.

In Season 5, I’d correctly predicted that Taylor Hicks would go far in the show. Last season, my bet was Black Lewis and I was not far wrong.
This season however, my American Idol prediction would go either to Michael Johns, David Archuleta, Asia’h Epperson and perhaps Ramiele Malubay. That would be my last remaining four. The American Idol Season 7 can come from any of them but if anyone in Season 7 can sing better than the four do, then I’d be happy to be proven wrong.
Meanwhile, American Idol and iTunes have struck a deal that enable American Idol fans around the world to download Season 7 performances, including weekly performances and the audition process.
Starting now, you can download and own the performances from your favorite contestants each week. As the competition heats up, iTunes will be your source for downloads of American Idol’s sights and sounds.
Don’t miss a single performance. Immediately following the FOX broadcast, you can pre-order your favorites and you will receive an email as soon as the performance is available for download.
Music performances will be available for $0.99 per song starting with the Top 24 semi-finalists this week, and full video performances of the Top 12 Finalists will be available for $1.99 starting March 11th.
In the meantime, we’re brothers. Forever and I mean it! Here’s the remix version.
