This one came via an email newsletter from Worldwide Freelance Writer of which I am a subscriber. In this edition copywriter Jason Leister debunked copywriting myths including one of the greatest of them all — that copywriting is easy.
As one who is into writing myself, I can attest to the fact that copywriting — or writing for that matter — is anything but easy.
Among other things, Leister said in his Myth #5: Writing Copy is Easy, that copy writing is real — and hard — work.
“Copywriting is about a whole lot more than writing. You’ve got to connect the demand of your market, to the product you are selling,” he said.

I agree. As a fellow writer myself (one who specializes in screen writing) I personally know the hassle of copywriting. And the thin about it is someone can capture your work make a few changes and claim it ad theirs and thus can be in the right. And even if they are in the wrong it can take months to correct.
It’s a tough world out there… and it’s even tougher for the non-native speakers of English to break into and to be frank, I haven’t made a break into it. Right now I’m still playing in a small pond, not having the experience — or the courage — yet to venture yet into the open seas, so to speak. Cheers…
