I’m looking forward to this weekend, the time I’ve set to completely switch off my mind from blogging.
Having been blogging, and working, continuously like mad for some weeks now, I truly need a break. So I’m taking it before I go insane.
I shall dedicate the two off days to my two kids and take them anywhere they want to go, so long as it is not too difficult — or costly — to reach.
What about my promise to blog every day?
So, what then will happen to my quest — my promise — to blog everyday for six months on my other blog? As I mentioned previously, I shall be taking advantage of the post timestamp feature of Wordpress.
I can “time-transmit” my articles to go live on any day, at any time. So I’d have to stock up those two off-blogging days with timestamped articles.
Blogger burnout
When I announced my quest to blog everyday or to post at least an entry every calendar day, blogger Danny Foo raised the issue of “blogger burnout”.
I’m aware of the danger of going through such burnout and I fear I’m already heading into one.
This is the main reason why I’m taking a blogging break this weekend. There would be no reading of blogs, no posting of articles, no checking of Adsense account to see if someone had clicked on those ads, no commenting. Nothing.
Recharge and relaunch
I want to recharge my battery and hope to come back with renewed vigour. How about you? Have you ever thought of taking a complete break from blogging?
