From now on I’m going to change my blogging habit, starting from the way I post entries.
If in the past, I’d publish my entries even before I finished writing them; after this, I will only push the “publish” button when I have the final copies, after having done all the re-writes, spell-checks and proof reading.
Bad blogging habit
I don’t know about you but I know for a fact that some of my blogging friends blogged the way I previously blogged — by posting entries while writing them, and kept on editing and re-publishing that same entries over and over again until they are satisfied with the final copies.
I know now that this is not a good blogging habit. Imagine reading a blog entry only to find that that was not to be the final copy, and you’d have to come back again to read the fuller version, and again for the whole story. I know I would be turned off.
Old habits die hard
I think I escaped the repercussions so far because of the low traffic coming to this blog; so not many people noticed the bad habit.
It’s going to take some practice, as the saying goes, old habits die hard; but once I get used to it, I think there should no problem following the new routine.
I’ve repented
I’m changing my habit starting with this entry. So this is the final copy I typed on Word with spelling checker turned on.
I’ve re-read it and proof-read it before I finally pushed the publish button.
What if I want to add new information later?
If there are new things to be added into the entry, the better way to do that is to either post an update — indicating which part of the entry that has been updated — or to post a fresh entry with a link to the previous one.

True, I agree with you. I am having that bad habit too. So eager to press the publish button. I am learning from you and I am going to repent also, just the way you have described.
