I’ve been scratching my head for niche content for my other blogs but I stumbled upon a tool which I can use to gauge just how high the competition is for the content I had in mind.
I can now use a tool called Keyword Selector Tool to find out the amount of search for a particular key word. A search for the key phrase “make money online”, for instance, returns an astounding figure of 44,150 in January.
So, obviously, that niche content is off limit for me; the competition is just too tough. I prefer a less beaten track.
But on the other hand, I can’t be too niche-centric to create an “out-of-the-world” kind of content such as a site dedicated to discussing house lizards, for instance. By the way, a search on the phrase returns a mere 176 searches, which obviously will not make a good niche. Here’s the tool you might want to give a try.
